You may have seen this already, but I don't think you can see it enough times. Gender reassignment in Oxfordshire is only given on the basis of 'extreme need'. Basically, you need to be suicidal before they will help you with your gender dysmorphia.

The hospital that performs this operations, Charing Cross, will not operate on people who are suicidally depressed for health reasons.

This Catch-22 policy directly means that people with gender dysmorphia are denied treatment. It's barbarous, vile, and bigoted and directly affects transpeople living in Oxfordshire today.

If you're a UK citizen, please sign it here. Thanks to various people on my flist for making me aware of this.

My teeth are distinctively less sore today, excepting the specific area around my gum. This means they sre settling down. I'm learning to eat with a new set of teeth (seriously; you move one, change your bite, and watch how quickly the whole of the buggars move) and the general ache has stopped. Still feel sorry for myself, but this because I am a drama llama.

Yesterday's DocSoc involved a resolution that our next showing will involve out of context naked hide and seek as part of our crossover night. It dawns on me that the percentage of Ianto fangirls in DocSoc has increased almost exponentially, and I love it.

Argh, far too much work to do today, and going out on a work event tonight, in which I will not get hammered in front of my manager. Think I said that last time, though...
