(no subject)

I aten't dead.

Well, I'm not.

Right now it is raining cats and dogs and I keep on being caught in it, so I have probably aggravated the remaining lurgy, but still, not dead. Life is quiet at the moment; Richie was up for the last day, which was nice, but conflicted work rotas remain unkind to both of us right now. I'm trying to organise generic pub shenanigans, but the only thing confirmed right now is going out to a work friend's birthday night in Dundee - yes, really - in a couple of weeks. It's got a Men in Black theme, too, which means I need to find a costume.

Very little else to update about, really. I don't even have much of an opinion on the costumes of the new Doctor; I'm more excited about the rejig of the TARDIS, which says a lot about something, but I have no idea what, just yet.

I am also still watching a frankly unholy amount of DS9 and found myself probably about ten years behind fannish opinions, but there you go. I am shipping Dax/Kira like burning (and I've got [livejournal.com profile] loneraven on board, hand lotion indeed!) and found myself with a little flag waving for Bashir/Garak and maybe a teeny tiny totally wrong crush on Gul Dukat. It's all the voice and eyes, I promise. I feel bad about it, does that make it better?

No it's just plain wrong! Not to mention your thing for Voldemort... So so so wrong!

It's Ralph Fiennes in a sexy black suit! I only fancy him in that one scene, I'm not particularly rocking the robes look!

(I just looked up the actor who plays Gul Dukat and he is quite old and not at all sexy as a human. OH GOD I'M SICK.)

Ok... This is an intervention. Step away from the sci-fi and fantasy. Maybe a healthy dose of period drama to get you back to liking humans...?! (Obv referring to North and South!)

IF IT HELPS it was more a sort of 'ooh, what a commanding voice' type of thing not a real crush and am now totally shamed out of it.

Nothing will ever displace my mad love for Richard Armitage, particularly in period costume drama. Phwoar.

No. We're totally locking you in a room and making you watch Jane Austen adaptations (including the awful ones with Keira Knightly and Billie Piper) until you forsake all this nonsense and will only look at a man if he's in britches and has at least fifteen thousand a year!
