hathycolThank you all for your lovely comments - I feel very, well, loved! Mum came around with an engagement card as well, and actually stayed for ages to chat. I think I am the best daughter again.
I think I have contracted Winter Lurgy. My throat hurts, my head hurts, and all I want to do is sleep and not go to work tomorrow. Okay, I never want to go to work, but it's more overwhelming at the moment. This probably has a lot to do with people shouting at me a lot, but there we go. We have all Christmas off due to having no salt, so I'm looking forward to a ten-day stretch of freedom. Only five more working days to go!
Unfortunately, still have rather a lot to do in the interim, including sorting out the last of the Christmas bits and bobs at the weekend, pricing up getting the ring re-sized (people are unhelpful on this matter over the phone), going to a Christmassy gathering at the weekend that I need to make gingerbread for, and scrubbing the house as per tradition for this time of year. Back to domesticity, and all that.
I think I shall be mostly sleeping, though. Sleep will be lovely.
