My word, they really are terrible. Besides looking for somewhere else to go, have you considered writing them a letter which says "DO YOU WANT ME TO JUST GET PREGNANT BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I'M HEARING RIGHT NOW" or words to that effect? I have found that sometimes putting things in writing can work wonders with paper-based systems like the NHS; I've never done this to a GP, but I did file a formal complaint about a botched appointment at a hospital with satisfying results. It might produce, for example - especially if you spell out that this is what you want - an apologetic phone call from someone who has been told by their boss to make sure you get the right appointment.
