geekgirlofdoom that is THE best picture I've seen of the twins for a while. Though I still think that Vincent Karthesir should play them... it WORKS. Watch Angel and prove my point!
Um. Anyway. Today I have sacked off doing my cookery (I've got two weeks, I'll do it this week) and I've actually done my French. It is crap, so no change there then. I also spent half an hour peeling potatoes, which was enthralling. Have also added half a dozen Mellon Chroniclers to my list *waves*, and have read a book. Or three.

Book recommendation of the day: Beyond the Hanging Wall by Sara Douglass. I read it WAY back when I was about 10 and had just found the teenage section of the library (I FINISHED the teenage section of the library at 12. Worrying.) and didn't really understand it. Anyway, for the sheer nostalgia, I took it out again and re-read it this afternoon.
It's a very, very good book. And that's an understatement.
Seems like traditional fantasy fare at first glance, but in fact it's... different. It must have affected me more than I thought at age 10, too- one of the scenes from The Project might as well have been lifted from chapter 3. Very, very similiar. (Which means yet ANOTHER re-write, sigh) Which is odd, because I'd forgotten all about this book...
Anyway. If you can find it, go and read it, it's bloody good. I have yet to find any slash in it, but I' sure another re-read will find me a good Garth/Maximilian moment. :)
