(no subject)

You know when you get to that point in revision, where you stare at the page and all you want to do is toss your book out of the window and never think about it again? Yeah?

I reached it twenty minutes ago, after two hours of revision. Whoops.... so instead, made pretty wallcharts with felt-tips stolen from sister (she's in France. She'll never know) and stuff like that.

Had a really weird dream last night. For some ODD reason, loneraven and osiris13 were all there, as well as usual gang of friends, and we all hung around Ormskirk. Which had a Burger King. For no apparent reason. And when it closed, we all partied in my maths room at school. Twas... weird.

Speaking of food places, ORMSKIRK HAS A SUBWAY!!! It opened yesterday. Somewhere to hide between exams! Woohoo!

Am also in process of writing a new fic. Just because. It's for the Library of Moria challenge, the make love not not war one, and I was kinda stuck for two "traditional enemies" since Gimli/Legolas? Plausible, yet icky. So, I was flicking through the Silmarillion for ideas, Kinslaying et al, but I don't feel 'close' enough for any of the characters in there....

So, flicking and flicking and flicking and suddenly found the kidnap of Elrond and Elros by Maglor and Maedhros, and my brain starting ticking at me... "for eventually love grew between Maglor and ... Elros..." because I'll be damned if I can write Elrond slash.

So. Yay. Slash fic goodness, AND it's a break from The Project.

Question to any LOTR fans: was any date ever given for the kidnap of Elrond and Elros? I couldn't find it anywhere, so I placed it when they were about 17. *evil grin* That way, it's not nasty and paedophilia-like. Wahey! Just tell me if I'm making a big mistake though about the dates. And that reminds me- I need a beta for it. Help?
