Jun. 27th, 2003 12:38 pmGood news: Well, my computer is still working, the odd funny noise not counting.
Bad news: Still operating on Windows '98 with a modem connection.
Now, my Dad is a great person, and I hesitate to use the word 'imbecile' but...
Gyah. This wouldn't have happened at ALL if we'd taken thge computer to a reputable dealer for a slightly higher price as opposed to a crappy little "run by a mate" shop (now bankrupt, oddly enough) which buggars up the comp. Dad was unable to load up XP, but flat out refused to allow anyone else to try. Mum apparently puts this down to his male pride, since apparently he requires some. This may be because he lives in a house with three women, often cooks and cleans, was forced to practice hiarstlyes of Barbie dolls for mine and the Hellspawn's schooly stuff. This results in him being extremly proctective over his "tasks", i.e. walking the dog, doing the garden and anything technical. It also results in us having to use crappy computer while Dad tries to fix it.
So, if somebody out there knows how to expand the reserved space, could they PLEASE comment and I'll sneakily sort it out while he's not looking.
In other news, it;'s my Leavers Do tonight. I have gone and gotten my hair done, which was a bit of a waste, really. The one day I could have done with sun, it chucks it down all morning, resulting in me being unable to have my hair straightened. Instead, I kept it curly, and have it all clipped back.
Frankly enough, I could have done it myself. Such is life. My nails are done, I've Immaced my legs, that didn't work as per usual so I braced the razer while praying that I didn't cut my legs, which would be bloody typical. My arms appear to have turned brown, which I didn't notice until I compared them to my legs (many shouts of "HOLY CRAP I'VE TANNED! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?"). Shoulders are bright red and very itchy, but I can deal with that.
And thats about it. I'll go and read fanfic and stuff, and get my dance stuff ready, except I'm not actually dancing. And then I'll come home, get in the bath and go to Jess', where I'm getting changed.
