Firstly:

Eagle Daemon
Your EAGLE DAEMON represents an unlikely
combination of fierce pride and remarkable
wisdom. Though widely admired, you can be very
distant at times, and like to stay out of
people's personal lives.

Well, just call me Jopari. I always thought Sayan Kotor was a prettier name than Pantalaimon, anyway.

What I meant to say yesterday (and forgot in a haze of being-homeness) was remembered by [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow and [livejournal.com profile] loneraven and their religious guy. I found a mad Christian in Switzerland, who made the unwise choice of harassing me, as opposed to the other way around. As was ith other Guides, couldn't blurt out the usual "Well, I'm gay, am I going to hell?" and get called a godless heathen again, but smiled at the woman as she gave us a pretty postcard with a religious thing on the background. Bloody hell...

I met up with Lorna and Katie and Jess today, in a rather backwards way. We were supposed to meet up on the 12.45 train. So I set the alarm on my mobile for 11.30 (and slept straight through to it, too), I got up, had a shower, toddled around a bit, went up to Ormskirk, got on the train...

And no one got on at Aughton, and I KNEW that Jess was supposed to get on at Aughton. So, brief panic. I chcked my watch, and I had the right time, it was definately 10 to... ten to 12. I was an hour early, since I hadn't sorted out turning my mobile back an hour. Cue me diving of the train at Town Green and trailing to Katie's house with a very sheepish grin on my face as I told her story, and she fell on the floor laughing. I claimed I was jetlagged. She just laughed more. She also gave me a purdy ring and a BIG box of Maltesers as a belated birthday present, so that was okay.

So, an hour later than I had set out, we all met again on the train and went to the Odeon in Aintree to see American Pie 3. It would have been POTC, but unfortunately time overuled us... we agreed to see whichever came first and AP won.

So... all I know about American Pie is Alyson Hannigan, the line of "This one time, at band camp..." and that I had little or no desire to see any of the films. Ever. Damn, I was WRONG. It was actually really, really funny. There were times in which the whole cinema was rolling around laughing as well as occasionally peering through fingers in horrified fascination. It's also the first time I've seen a full cinema literally SHRIEKING at the screen loud enough to block out the dialogue. In case anyone here wants to see it, I won't spoil, but it's sick, it's nasty and actually had me retching at one point. We heard a few of the lads behind us saying "Oh, god, I'm going to be sick!"

But it was good. And I went to the library on the way home (how geeky is THAT?) and am finally, finally reading Nightwatch. I've also gotten out some Stephan King. I've been contemplating it for a while, and I got my ass around to reading Carrie while on holiday. I literally couldn't put it down, was ten minutes late for dinner and spent the rest of the night reading it afterwards, up until bout 2.00am. I wasn't scared, and I'm not sure if I was supposed to be. Disturbed, yes. I made a start on The Tommyknockers too, but... just never got around to finishing it.

So I have a pile of Stephan King to read. Once more into the breach... however, I will read all the fic that's turned up in my inbow first. Three new chapters of The Empty Vessel by ZeeDrippyVessel and one more of Maedhros.

And THEN I need to sort out all the stuff that was sent to me- a whole bucnh of medical questions for the person I sort out beta for and THEN I have to sort out copies of "I Should Have Known" for the archives that requested it. At some point I need to get back in YahooGroups and kick my RPGs into shape.

I swear to god, now I'm just looking out for fragon dung in my inbox. I really am. 10 days is faaaaaar too long to be away.

I'm bored. Even though I have loads to do.

How do you do one of those searches where you see how many people have the same interests as you??
