(no subject)

My computer is being silly, as per usual. Although this time, the mouse is playing up. It's not keen on the going right, or upwards, at the moment. Suspect it might actually be my own fault, since suspect there mightactually be a crumb of marmite sandwich lodged inside mouse. I am the only one that eats marmite in my house. Oops.

Last night, I did two very important things.

1. I finished updating Hathor's Empire. I dumped the fic that I truly didn't like- it's at Heliopolis if anyone is really desperate to read it. It's my site, my sandbox, and I decide what goes in it, thank you very much. But all the fic is now working, no links are broken, I've put up sections for original fic, X-Men fic and Harry Potter fic, and I've got my backlog sorted. I feel proud.

2. I finished Between Worlds, also known as "The Project", also known as "Fic That Has Taken Over My Life". I was writing it last night, and I had already drawn the conclusion, sorted out each characters own little journey, the lot. And it hit me that anything more I wrote really would just be waffle. And with the story closing in at 392 hand written pages, I really didn't need any more fic.

So... I've finished the monster fic, and I feel really, really sad about it. Okay, it's not actually finished. I still have to get it all typed up... about three hundred pages worth of typing up, actually. Then I need to get it revised by me, then I need to get it beta-ed, and then I need to get it formatted, and frankly I'd be suprised if I get it sorted before Christmas. But the point is, I've finished it. And I'll miss the little universe and characters I've created for it. Hell, I'm going to miss the horses.

But, of course, we have to remember that it's the first of a series. (Presuming that I don't get flamed to death/PPC-ed/MST-ed in a bad way) And that I'm going to go back to my little universe. But still...

God, I finished a nearly 400 page fic. Wheeeeeeeeeee!

I'm really, really bored.

Really, really bored, in fact. And I know that I have to tidy my room, and I also need to do my ironing. But I'm still bored.

Ho hum.

I need to go shopping, preferably in Liverpool or Southport. It dawned on me yesterday that I don't actually have enough pairs of trousers for college. *thinks* Lessee... we've got the black jeans, the black baggy cargos, we've got the long olive green skirt, we've got the blue cords... and thats it. There's my jeans, but they ripped and refuse to stay fixed.

Well, that's next week sorted then. But what to do now?

I like that name.

Well, since my last "I'm bored!" post, I got off the internet. I made tea. (Not entirely complex, since it consisted of baked potato, beans, and bacon/turkey burger, depending on if you were my mother or not.) I did my ironing, which isn't exactly hard or time-consuming. I then watched Day Of The Triffids since I love the book. I laughed heartily at the really, really dreadful animation of the triffids. ("It's like Dr Who trying to take itself seriously!") I then realised that, once more, I had nothing to do. I scrolled through the music channels, and decided that I quite liked the new White Stripes song. Unfortunately, can't find it for download anywhere.

And now I'm back on the internet. Anyone got any fic recommendations for any of the following fandoms:

Stargate, Farscape, Buffy, Angel, LOTR, POTC, His Dark Materials, X-Men, American Gothic, The Matrix, Harry Potter, Good Omens
