Oct. 18th, 2003 05:00 pmWell, hi. I don't have any shoes on now, but I do have socks, which is generally rather cool. And, you know, warm.
Last night was weird. As you may know, I went to the Comrades last night, and I don't think I was in the best of moods for it. I was annoyed. I wanted to go to
flickerswitch's and I wanted to finally meet
mettanna. But no. I had to go to training this morning. Aren't I a good person? Ha!
So, I went to a Comrades instead, and radiated an air of pissiness all night. It doesn't help that I'm extremly hormonal at the moment, and have a tendancy to cry a lot. I am also feeling quite broody, too, which is not normal. So, I went to the Comrades. And I drank many random drinks (vodka and orange, Archers and Guiness were involved, although Guiness is quite foul and I only drank as a sort of joke, proving various stereotypes), and in a traditional me manner, got the munchies. Over alcohol. I drink, I get hungry. I don't know how it works, it just does. So, I went to the chippy, on a food fest. Mmmm.
Some of the bands were quite good- the second one, which featured various people I know, and they had a new singer. Who rocked. They did 'Feeling Good' and you all know about my Muse fangirlishness. And they pulled it off! AND The Darkness! Which actually was kinda cool. As they started to play, everyone cheered, and you could actually hear everyone singing along. And at the clappy bit, every did it. Well done all of us.
I think the best part, though, was at the end. This band used to be fronted by James Dale. Who is an arse, frankly. James Dale (know as Dale from here on in) actually left, claiming to be better than them. But now they have the new singer, they're actually loads better. And there was a large crowd from school there, and we all know Dale. Dale got up at the end of the bands set, and tried to talk to them. Hence lots of loud calling from our little bit of the audience "FUCK OFF DAAAALE *clapclapclapclapCLAPCLAP*"
Heh heh.
But I was still moody, and really tired, so I left as about 10.00, and came home, and went to bed.
As you may have gathered, I feel somewhat bitter towards Homebase. Can ya blame me? The training was exceedingly dull. As it always is. And I had a few very Dead Like Me moments at work, which is worrying: we had a toddler screaming for what seemed like hours, and I thought "I'm going to kill that fucking baby..." to myself before I realised where the quote was from. I was also contemplating claiming to have a gynaecologist appointment so as to skip over time. But I didn't actually say that.
I still seemed to have volunteered for overtime though, although I can still do other stuff with the times I've got.
So, plan for the week, not including the fact that I can watch season 4 Evolution this week. Wheee!
Tonight: Dead Like Me! YES!

This is a very lfat sounding post, isn't it? For those that care, it has no evidence of prosadic or paralinguistic features, and speaks in a friendly tone, and it's purpose is to inform, entertain and also to maintain friendliness.
Argh. I'm English Languaging my own diary.
