Nov. 8th, 2003 07:40 pmI feel Proud. Today, I have not gone on the computer until I finished my homework. The homework is finished. And here I am!
Kickarse.
Now, I've e-mailed it to
loneraven and
purplerainbow but
flickerswitch's email isn't working and I don't have
mettanna's address. Couldn't be so good as to send them to me, could you two?
Last night was just... wow. Me and
flickerswitch caused organised chaos in the canteen, and basically made a very cool film set. Then I blagged my way through talking about lighting with Martin, since I had little or no idea what I was talking about (I know nothing about lighting, or at least the words that have anything to do with it) and Liz was off finding a mini-disc player.
The effect was very eerie, I felt. Then the light buggared off, and the effect went. Oh well.
Went home and went to Guides, in which I officially put forward a request to go to another Ranger group. Ours just doesn't function anymore, and I know a few people in a Aughton one, so... note to self. Tell parents.
This morning, I woke up at 8.30 and downright panicked. I hear the alarm going off, I assume it's 6.50 and when it's not, I go into "Leap out of bed, you're gonna miss the bus!" mode.
Then I remembered that it was the right time to get up for work. My shift was changed over today, 10-2 instead, so I had to get up earlier but I had to leave earlier.
About 12, I developed the worst headache in the history of the universe. It burnt. Screaming children really didn't help.
The pain has gone away now, after I had something to eat and curled up on my bed for an hour when I came home. So I did my article. And whilst I may have the horror of a politics test on which they're basing my estimated grade on Monday I plan to do what I did last time- do it all in the two hours I have off that morning. Normally works. Since I'll be abandoned and all, as
flickerswitch AND Gemma AND Susia are all off in the Cotswald playing Twister with Oliver. Or something similiar.
Ian MacKellen was on Have I Got News For You last night. Can I just reiterate that Ian MacKellen is one of my heroes? Two fandoms apart, he's just really, really cool in a way that doesn't come across on all the DVD extras. Possibly because he doesn't swear. but he's just... so... cool! Plus, some very funny LOTR jokes as well as Micahel Howard bitching, which is well deserved. "The Labour party had an emergency meeting to discuss on how to deal with Michael Howard. They thought about garlic, and holy water..."
See, whatever my political allegiance may be, it's definately anti-Tory. It's like a Cheetham family gene or something. And whilst I veer madly between Labour and Lib Dem (Lib Dem at the moment, due to University worries, but I do panic as to where the Libs are going to get the funding from) I will never, ever support the Tories. As such, I laugh my little socks off at them instead.
Mind you, I'd rather vote Tory than BNP any day.
Oooh, I went all political there, didn't I?
In other news, I have finally downloaded Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Woohoo!
And now I will go and watch my tape of Dead Like Me. YAAAY!
