Nov. 22nd, 2003 05:53 pmGyah. Guides are eeeeevil. Bowling is eeeeeevil. Have to go with Rangers on Monday, too. This sucks.
Anyway. That was last night. Today was a new day, and by gods I didn't want to get out of bed. Surpising, considering the sheer amount of sleep and lazing around I've accumulated in the last week, but there we are. I just woke up, thought of work, and wanted to die.
It wasn't too bad today, disite disturbingly large blow up Santa outside of the store. (I noted that B&Q have aquired a bigger one. Industrial espionage at work, pun intended). I find that if I break the horribly large chunk of "FOUR HOURS???!" down to "Okay, well, we've only got an hour to go until Karen/Chris/Last house/Go home." I nearly leapt out from behind my till at one point to generally glomp this one guy.
See, anyone who signs his card as A.J Crowley is a Good Person, even if it's not technically possible for them to do good... *grins*
It was quite busy in the last hour, but I don't mind that. It means time goes quicker if I'm frantically sitting at the tills, panicking as my queue grows longer and they put out the call of "All till trained staff to tills! All till trained staff to tills!" It's a little like a military operation when that happens, as opposed to the usual slightly-on-the-edge lazy approach.
The manager turned up, and sat next to me. Scary.
Anyway, as I was leaving, I decided that I quite fancied watching TTT tonight. And then I wished I had TTT:EE. Then a little thought popped into my head: "Hang about, that's out to rent..."
So, I came home, got changed and darted across the park (which was bloody cold) to the video rental store. I nearly cried when they said that they wouldn't be renting out the DVD but they would the video, but it wasn't in until next week. As in when I'm in London and/or Manchster of Musey goodness.
So, two weeks. Thats all I have to wait for. *grits teeth* I will NOT buy it, I will NOT buy it, I WILL just get it for Christmas...
I'm also in the mood to listen to Enya. I used to have her old Best Of tape, but I can't find it, and download times take bloody ages. Typical.
I'm going to go and eat now...
