Dec. 16th, 2003 12:09 pmI'm at college, as per usual, and I'm missing out on doing history work, as per usual. I've come to the conclusion that I just seem to hate James I. Ah well. I'm screwed. I accept this freely.
I'm still going home this afternoon though. Went home yesterday afternoon, too. I meant to do the work then, but instead I fell asleep. For three hours. Then I went to the Carol Concert Of Doom. I really did forget just how bad Mr Entwhistle was. Twenty minutes of sheer babbling. To make matters worse, Dad and I turned up late, and as such we sat at the back, gently nodding off as Mr Entwhistle talked crap.
The concert itself was painful. The toddlers were having the most fun. I wish someone had let me jump around and shout! They did readings from (get this):
Genesis: The Beginning. Dad and I fringedwelled.
"And God said: This is good!"
"Of course he did. There was no one around to edit it."
"And God said: This is good!"
"I'm sensing a pattern..."
"And God created man and woman..."
"Ah. Because, of course, everyone knows that Darwin chap was possessed by Satan."
Genesis: The Fall.
"Boo! Hiss! Women!"
They did other stuff, but Genesis just amused me the most. They also had a powerpoint thingie on behind it. You try taking it seriously when all you can hear is your supposedly responsible father hissing: "Brian is not the Messiah!"
I liked singing along though, but Dad refused. As such, I believe I was perfectly within my rights to call him a miserable git.
Ho hum. Saw my old maths teacher though, who congratulated me on my B and informed me that my coursework was some of the best she'd ever seen. Okay...
Today has also been a bit weird. Apparently, our film is very much like "A Japanese psycological thriller, along the veins of Dark Water and even The Ring to an extent."
That's... nice.
Now I must go and at least do a little history. Return of the King! Out! Tomorrow! Dammit, I want to go and buy elf boots... but I will be good. I will instead buy outstanding Xmas pressies. Consisting of the ones for Guides. Gah.
If I have money left, then I'm buying pretty boots.
