hathycol: (lick me! [elvenfair])
So, I'm at college and I'm all of *looks at watch* fifteen minutes away from a politics lesson that I don't fancy, as Elaine will beat me for missing Friday and not telling her. But I don't care.

Well, I do a bit, but I'm really not in the mood too.

Today has been weird. The birds were singing when I woke up, and I felt generally rather happy at the pretty tweeting birds and sunshine as I walked through the park. Then the sun wnet behind a cloud and a duck started molesting another duck, and I suddenly felt less happy. History this morning was soporific, which is odd when coming from me. I was tired, and the author's ranting rave over John Pym was irritating. Normally Anderson is such a calm and composed woman. I hope this doesn't mean that history does strange things to you. *looks at succession of teachers* Oh dear...

I'm hungry, too. And my throat doesn;t hurt, which is lovely, but I don't know what I want to eat. I've lost 1/4 of a stone in the last week through not-eating. Which is stupid, really. But a good thought, I suppose. But now I'm extremely hungry and contemplating going into Orrell at lunch with [livejournal.com profile] flickerswitch, who apparently spent last Sunday fondling Phil's pole.

Ask her yourself! *points tongue*

And now I must go and see Elaine. Joy of joys.

Wahey!

Left college early!

And not even skiving!

I have done this all through the power of thick builders. Basically, they're in the process of building a new block for whatever subject teacher marries the principal gets in their first. (You think I'm joking? Psychology got a new building, and now he's married to one of the teachers and they've just had a baby.) At any rate, the builders have managed to put a digger through the main water pipe.

So, we were stuck in politics during this, until someone thought to come and tell us. And out we skipped...

... and ran like lunatics for the bus. I hate not being able to drive. Trying to get on the bus was a little like the disaster scenes you see on the news. Five buses had to accomodate about 800 students. We were a little cramped, as you might guess. Got home, and Dad just stared at me.

"What are you doing here?"
"I live here. And you?"
"Don't be sarcastic. What day is it?" Poor bloke looked rather flustered.
"It's a Monday. The pipes have burst. Don't worry!"
"Ah..." Dad then proceeded to wander off, looking stressed. It was the first day of him being A Temporary Acting-Up Ward Manager (translation: "A matron but only for now") ever since he got the job (it's good experience for when he gets the job fulltime, but he doesn't want to leave his ward) and he looks frazzled. Bless.

And I've watched The Lost City now, which... well, was nice, if repetitive somewhat. And I'll say no more.

Brrr, it's cold tonight. I have to go to Rangers later. Me and Lara are making chocolate fondue, which will be appreciated. I have also brought myself a bar of Galaxy. Bad girl! I'm saving it until I can drink hot tea again, though.

(And yay! [livejournal.com profile] moralanqua is going to Collectormania! Lots of LJ people are going to [livejournal.com profile] collectormania! Come, join us, one and all! You don't mind sleeping on the floor, do you?)
