Jun. 7th, 2004 03:50 pmPlease save me from myself.
I took a break to watch the one o'clock news and saw all the stuff about Ronald Reagen. Did I stop, and think that he had died and it was Very Sad? Did I wonder at the irony in that he's getting an almost royal burial in what should be a republic (not the party, the other sort) country?
No. Instead, I remembered the one quote I knew from him:
"I'd rather have them in the tent and pissing out than out the tent and pissing in."
(This is applicable to Cabinet government, to those that care.)
Now I am worried that he a. didn't say the quote and b. I won't be able to use it as it might be in bad taste, since I'll be writing it on the week of mourning.
Which is what I just did, but no one really reads this. Like, y'know, examiners. (I really hope.)
Module 3 is fun; you can swear a lot with quotes. If that ones out, at least I have the old reliable about "those bastards in Cabinet..."
Erm. Yes. So, am I right about the quote? Will I still be able to use it? More importantly, am I going insane by the fact that's all I can think of?
Back to revisin, this break has been far too long. Onto media! (In which I laugh like a loon; my university entrance depends on whether I can correctly remember quotes of The Good Life and Men Behaving Badly. Ah, it's a good education system at times. "Gary? Do you have your tight pants on?"
Yes. Will leave you all now.
