hathycol: (don't point! [balthaser])
Spent the majority of the day at training and I hurt. Weirdly, I don't actually mind this fact.

This morning was Not Fun. I had to wake up half an hour earlier than normal, as I needed to put in my contact lenses and I had also promised to meet Roberto Sanchez, the dashing English Mexican! Simon at the clock tower.

Anyway.

Training itself was rather brilliant. Met the infamous Scott, too, and then we all marched off, naturally kitted up, to the Rugby field. Which was occupied. So instead we trundled off to the 'pads'. This turned out to the be the fields by Greetby Hill primary school and the surrounding forestry. We then, frankly, ran around in the forest. And it was brilliant. Very childish I appreciate, but the aim was to simply keep hold of your princess (ours was Helen; the others took Fi) and try and grab the other one. Lots of trying to scout around and standing guard and generally it was great, although I preferred the first round when I was on side with Enid as opposed to hitting her a lot. Although she was hitting me more.

We then did hte good old fashioned Circle Of Treachery. I won be sheer dint of making no alliances and merely standing in the centre, roaring "I'LL TAKE YE ALL ON, YE BASTARDS!" This meant they all generally killed themselves first, and tried to make alliances with me which would result in me being allowed to come near enough to kill them. Silly, silly people. According to Dan, though, I ruined my Gladiator moment of "IS THERE ANYONE ELSE?" by sort of stopping and going "Oooh! I won!" in an immensely girly fashion. Little Dan was the hero of the hour, as he won twice. He is scary. On the bright side, I now have a dramatic death. Well, I scream like a harpie and fall to the floor. Same difference.

And now I am home and I am very achey. My knee hurts and all of the right arm hurts as people keep on whacking me in the funnybone.

I have also been packing for the trip tomorrow. You all know the story: away for three days, blah blah, will post again on Thursday, text for anything important, et cetera, et cetera. I'm slightly looking forward to it. There is a part on Monday night. I am not going with my father, as, and I quote:

All prospective students are invited to attend a party. The party will start at 2030 and finish at 1200. Please let us know on your booking form if you would like to attend. You will be one of a group assigned to a particular Student Ambassador who will stay with the group for the duration of the evening.

Aha. So on my own, then. I have packed my Elf Boots and skanky mini-skirt. I was going to have my loffley red dress over a pair of jeans, but it creases like a bitch. So denim skirt it is then.

And that is Hathor's fashion tip for the evening. I don't do them very often, as evidenced by the fact I am currently wearing my Colonel Jack t-shirt and the last pair of jeans I have that I'm not actually taking away.

Mum is in a weird mood. Wouldn't blame her; three days alone with El Sister. Makes me glad I'll be with Dad. Although it looks as though I will be Planning A Routine for it. There is a scary amount of talks to go to.

This will get easier with other Open Days, won't it? Hell, Aberdeen is only the reserve favourite as it is. The irony.
