Jul. 28th, 2005 02:41 pmGrand total of money in the entre world after scratching around bedroom for loose change, checking bedroom and even being fairly well-trained and trying the back of the sofa:
£12.
No, really, that's it.
See, I was meant to be paid today, but you know a day is going badly when you actually have to take on mini-carer's work because LF has been taken off some medication and she's got the worst cold tukey known to man. However, since she cannot verbalise this or indeed physically express it too well, she hits stuff, pulls sofa across the room and screams and screams and screams. Gave up ccleaning around her in the end and ept on eye on her until the nursing students came back from their fags.
Obviously, this rather upset the other residents. Who are somewhat incontinent at the best of times.
And guess who does the washing? I felt like Lady Macbeth, the amount of times I washed me hands in horror today.
So, rubbish day at work was combined with the horrible knowledge that I am not being paid until the last Thursday in August. August? Fortunately, I have my Homebase money coming in two weeks, but that's still two weeks to manage with very little money.
I am going to have to borrow of my parents again. It's the height of shame and I swore down blind I wouldn't do it this summer so that I was all prepared to nick money off them come September. God. What kind of private nursing home runs to the same pay standards as the NHS anyway?
Also, Jess is coming around tonight and there will be wine and take-away. Which I'm meant to be buy. Oh, gods.
