I am a Bad Person and forgot to do this earlier.

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] amchau, [livejournal.com profile] doddlebot and [livejournal.com profile] tashmania for the cards that turned up at home. I will still not send out cards because I am a lazy fuck who can't quite believe it's Christmas and as such is hopelessly unprepared. Sorry, all.

Also, I think I have to apologise to my mother. Okay, it came with conditions ("you have to cook for the next two days, you have to stick to my diet plan whilst doing it, and also he has to come in for five minutes and meet your grandfather") but I was actually permitted out of the house. Felt a little bad, as Grandad has barely turned up, but there we are. Went to see King Kong instead, which was rather fantastic. When I was tiny, my Dad made me watch the original of that film every time it came on TV. He thinks it is one of the greatest films of all time, and shamelssly fancies the pants off Fay Wray. Why? I do not know. He was born in 1958. However, it meant I rather knew what was going to happen and I was still impressed.

Spoilers for the, like, three people WHO DON'T KNOW HOW IT ENDS )

I'm hungry as I woke up at about midday. I need to sandwich. I also need to put credit on my phone, but Ormskirk is such a long walk, and it's not like I can justify it by going to get cheese as well.

Also! You want to nab for over the holidays, I think I have an open diary after 27th (which is training? I think? Confirm for me, someone?) so if you want to nab me, I'd do so quickly. I'm debating going back to uni around New Years, so... I'd make it quick. I know I'm promised to [livejournal.com profile] hammer_strike, [livejournal.com profile] flickerswitch and [livejournal.com profile] sevenhelz, so... oh gosh, it's nice to feel popular.

And now I think I'm going to go and watch Firefly. I have three episodes to work through, still, but I've been putting it off because I don't want it to end.

Also. I have loved this song for months now and dance like a crazy person to it, often behind the wheel of a car which must be terrifying to behold as I groove on down whilst zipping down the motorway. Everyone else has NEVER HEARD OF IT or alternatively hates it and I do not know why. It it by Braund Reynolds and called Rocket (A Natural Gambler) and YOU SHOULD ALL HAVE IT IN YOUR LIFE AND GET YOUR FUNKY GROOVE ON TO IT. Seriously, they don't even play it on nights out, and that makes me sad. Oh well. The radio likes it and plays it every show, so that's okay. But go! Go and find it!
