Jan. 14th, 2008 11:51 amToday my eBay boots turned up through the post. This was probably the most exciting part of my day, although probably not for the postie; the package was labelled wrong and he actually asked a few houses for my name until he found us.
We also got a gas bill. This is less exciting.
I have now developed Exam Insomnia which is an exciting byproduct of exams; I never, ever have problems sleeping except for exam week. I mean, seriously, I am The Sleeping Monster Of St Andrews; I control my sleeping pattern with an iron will when I need to get up and nap copiously and sleep for approximately ten hours a night when I can it so that I can have this aforementioned iron will, which is incidentally the byproduct of getting up for college at seven every morning and then spending most of university and the summers working early morning shifts.
However, I couldn't drop off last night and I've been tossing and turning since about seven. This should mean that I will sleep tonight but I won't because it is time for Exam Insomnia. Luckily I live near a beach again this year so I can go jogging at 2am, which thus far has been the only thing to work.
I will break my boots in by going for a walk which may exhaust me a little for later on. I need to go the library, that's a half decent excuse. First, though, Pepys's Later Diaries and his Post-Diary Career and Politics.
Did I mention, new boots! Hurrah.
