hathycol: (history time)
All year I have been healthy. Seriously, one bout of pleurisy and I got all the colds and infections outta my system. Now, of course, my throat is doing that mildly ominous thing where you can't shift the weird feeling in it, despite drinking a trillion glasses of water. This had better not be leading on to something. Although I am grateful that if it has, it hasn't interfered wih my wonderful weekend with Simon, it is going to interfere with my RETURN TO NORMAL LIFE.

Blimey. I don't think I can RETURN TO NORMAL LIFE. (No more caps lock after this.) I have to go back to five days a week of hauling myself out of bed at 6.20am and even worse, limited nap time! (Shut up, people in the Real World - I work bloody hard most of the time.) Argh. Also I feel cheated by the history department; I keep on picking the classes with silly times. Okay, only four hours a week, but still. I have am 11am tomorrow, a 10am on Thursday and a two hour 11am on Friday. NOT ON.

This will represent the first Tuesday I've had off for, er, forever. Second semester is second year resulted in my legendary 7am-5pm days (those were in the days that I also had to walk for forty minutes to get anywhere near town) that also traditionally had a DocSoc on the end of it; my Wednesday nap was less of a nap than a physical collapse, evidenced by the fact that I would happily toddle back to sleep at 9pm the same day. But yes, a mini-weekend in the middle of the week will probably result in more work done, but I'd rather just have a three-day actual weekend. Alas.

I just can't believe that I'm already half way through third year. Oh god, and that it's swinging nearer to 11pm and I should really just go to sodding bed.

On a brighter note, the washing machine should be fixed tomorrow. CLEAN NON-EMERGENCY UNDERWEAR AHOY.
