Aug. 10th, 2008 04:49 pmLast night I watched I, Robot which isn't actually a bad film, if you remove every single part about the humans and maybe just look at the beautiful robot design they've got going on. Oh, and if you've never actually come into contact with Asimov. I was on the phone last night to Iona and mentioned I was watching it in the background; you'd have thought I'd said I was casually torturing puppies. I think maybe mentioned Susan Calvin's firm and pert breasts maybe was a mistake.
Anyway. I am now facing two - two! - whole days off with a sort of stunned surprise. I had yesterday off and ended up sitting in my dressing gown watching aforementioned film, as well as men's gymnastics and The Mummy. You see, I have bucketloads to do. I really do. I have an entire house to clean and pack up. I have a whole new direction in the dissertation to do for. All of these things, though, are a bit too big. Monday is my Day For Myself, in which I will see awesome people and do awesome things and probably get hammered, and Tuesday is the day where I will probably troll around in my dressing gown and wail that my head hurts. The rest of the week after that is mad packing time. However, my room is too small to start packing now, and cleaning is a bit pointless until just before we scarper. As such, I'm actually rather bored. Unhelpfully, there's nothing on telly until Father Ted in the very late it of the evening.
However, people will actually be here tomorrow, so I should get on with doing some basic cleaning as I would prefer people not to think I'm a total slob.
