Nov. 15th, 2008 01:05 pmLast night I got drunk on wine - by myself - and watched Children in Need with a sigh of relief that I wasn't on it and now that I could talk about the scene in it. ( Spoilers! ) Then I wailed about how we got the rubbish Scottish night; okay, I hate Fern Cotton and would willingly hit her in the face with a shovel, but Wales got John Barrowman. We got Jackie Bird. Unfair, really.
Anyway. Today I woke up and then discovered that Breaking Dawn had been delivered. (Katie and I are sharing it.) Then I wasted two hours of my life reading it, before forcing myself into having a shower. I'm afraid to go back downstairs because it will be there, taunting me with it's awfulness. I'm thoroughly disappointed at the lack of sex scenes and the sparkliness. The worst part is, I have a presentation to do on Tuesday and I haven't written it yet and I'm probably not going to, because the vampires are calling. Well, it would be selfish not to let Katie read her own book, and she's home from work soon...
Also I may have accidentally applied to the civil service last night. Long story. Oops.
[eta: well, that was a fucking waste of a day. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START ON HOW BAD THAT BOOK WAS.]
