Oh my god, you guys, please to be not letting me volunteer for anything else ever in the history of ever.

I have finished my essay, and handed it in with a stunning forty-five minutes to spare. I now have, er, a million things to do. In two weeks, I have to do a debate on why revolution seemed like a certainty in 1848 (my current viewpoint: Because Europe Was Doing It Too) and this involves going to a meeting with my fellow debate-team people in a few hours so we know what we're going to talk about. It should be good fun, and it's not marked, but I'd like not to look like an idiot; this is my last chance to show off in an academic way, I don't get to do this again, but argh, too much effort.

I have a gobbet exam in the same week as this debate, too. I haven't revised for about eight months, and suspect I have forgotten how to do so.

I have an essay due in the week before Easter; and to make things worse, I have a 5,000 word essay due in after Easter. I have to think about what I'm going to do, as well as do all the research, let alone get on with writing the buggars.

Oh, and I need to somehow do all my reading for regular classes. The plan is that for the rest of the weekend I will have finished all my reading for classes, and then on Monday I can pick what essays I'm going to do. And once I'm past Tuesday, a.k.a Day O' Classes, I'll just desperately research and read and revise, but in the kind of way that means I'll be nice and prepped to get on with my essays. It's not, to be honest, too bad a schedule.

However, when I'm combining it with various DocSoc and AltSoc events - running them and shopping and minutes and DJ-ing and organising and hell just turning up takes up a lot of time - and, you know, attempting to balance a very vague social life, and applying for jobs (at least one of them take the time to e-mail me and let me know how progress goes; the rest just leave me echoing in silence) and planning how to poach lions with nothing but a large net and a Ford Fiesta.

However, I am now going to go and make some soup and read North and South. There's nothing like making soup to calm down.
