Look, I've done the walk of shame before. Most people have. Notably I once wandered home at about midday in a ballgown with my hair still out and crazy and with no shoes on.

Today is the first day I did the public transport journey of shame. Okay, obviously without the one night stand but it did mean that I have slept in the clothes I was wearing. That said, I still smelt better than most people on the bus, so there we go.

... to add context to this tale, I went out last night. It's something I seem to have stopped doing. I love going out, drinking, and dancing like an idiot to preferably cheesy music. This isn't really an option at the moment, for various reasons, mostly that I live in the ase end of nowhere. I sort of assumed last night would be the same; not many people turned up at the start, and it all seemed a bit chilled out, until it got to the time that we'd all have to leave for public transport. Then suddenly we all went mad (it probably helped that everyone out was basically everyone that worked in Liverpool Fat Face that I actually liked!) and went To A Club. Then the club was shut down as a copper was assaulted (Oh, Liverpool), so we got a refund on entry and went to an eighties bar, were we stayed and danced like idiots for four hours.

I spent the night on a remarkably comfortable sofa bed in Liverpool Hope University halls, and then meandered home across a side of the city I'd never really seen before. I am now back in Ormskirk, feeling a little sleep and otherwise remarkably healthy for a night out clubbing in Liverpool.

(And feeling a LOT better for now being in clean clothes!)

I now plan to spend the rest of my weekend in front of iPlayer and the telly. Merlin is obviously a yay, but I am genuinely torn between watching Strictly Come Dancing and the car crash appeal that is Jedward performing the Ghostbusters theme on X-Factor. Ah, Britain.
