Jul. 27th, 2011 07:56 pmLJ COME BAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKK.
I have had a rather good few days. On Sunday,
loneraven came to sunny Southport, and we had an official Good Day, with possibly a little too much pink wine in the middle. There is nothing wrong with that, I hasten to point out. We caught up, and talked about the unmittigated horror of being an adult, in between being I think slightly glad that we had flats and so on.
On Monday, I found myself in work, wincing a little due to aforementioned wine. K came in. "Colleen," she announced. "You said you hadn't had any wine for ages." [I did not mention the night before.] "The thought of you without wine is a wrong thought. So I bought you a bottle of wine." She thunked the bag on the table. "Also, my mum made you a curry so I thought I'd buy a dessert and some chocolates as well."
Nearly cried. K's mum's curry is legendary in it's awesome, and it was also a really sweet thing to do.
Then on Tuesday we got a phonecall from Matt and Dobbin, who it turned out were in Southport and we found ourselves in the pub around the corner and ate tea out. So that was also good. Plus tomorrow Mum is making me a roast, so I am doing very well on the food front at the moment.
Also, Richie and I are finally getting a sofa! On Saturday I am picking up a van (ARGH ARGH ARGH) and picking up a second-hand sofa. This is officially exciting on the basis that we will actually have something to sit on that isn't more or less the floor. Hurrah! I have to do it very very early in the morning as Richie and I are heading off to Leeds in the afternoon, but this I feel is something that I can cope with.
And now I am in my pajamas, and I'm going to go and make some tea and curl up.
