I wrote a thing about feminism at Disorientated Graduate. I'm trying really hard to educate myself in feminism at the moment; I don't know how well it's working, but there we go.

Er, what else. I am still horribly stuffed up with cold which is about as much as it sounds. Yesterday I thought that I would do a nice job that I've been looking forward to, which is look up bridesmaid dresses because I am aware that in six months (OH GOD) I am getting hitched and I don't want my bridesmaids to resent me. They will have to help me pee, so frankly it's in my best interests to keep them sweet. There are no green dresses that aren't hideous ANYWHERE.

Oh god I've gone from talking about feminism to talking about my dismay at not finding green dresses in the colour I need. The thing is that I've found lovely dresses that I know [personal profile] loneraven and [personal profile] stupidore won't like, I've found dresses we all would like if they were the right colour (I don't even mind the SHADE), and I've found the right colour but hideous hideous dresses. It's all very stressful. Oh god even the lady on My Family has a green dress HOW HARD IS THIS.

(I actually have a very long post about My Very Feminist Marriage Despite A Slightly Traditional Wedding tucked away somewhere, but that's for a day when I'm not enjoying a dreadful sinus headache.)

I think I'm going to go and have a bath, and gibber a bit. On the advice of far too many people I have half way through Temeraire and have the second book on order. All hail Amazon vouchers.
