Aug. 2nd, 2013 09:29 pmSuch a week I have had...
So, after Monday's shenanigans, Tuesday was a bit of a meh day. Wednesday was a day of mild drama. I was running a wee bit late for work so flung myself in the direction ofthe first Tube, as opposed to my normal carefully calculated plans. This was a mistake, as I was in the tunnel between Seven Sisters and Finsbury Park when someone on my carriage pulled the emergency alarm. A few moments later there was a panicked cry for a doctor, and when this didn't have a response for a first aider. I kept my head down for a few moments, and then sighed and trooped down the carriage, expecting to see someone having just passed out. Imagine my surprise whe I found someone having a major fit on the floor. Oh dear.
She was really quite ill, in the end. Luckily someone around her had the good sense to stop her hitting her head against a wall, but I ended up crouching down and doing what I could (translation: very little) and when we finally got into Finsbury Park an ambulance was called, and all that stuff. Fortunately a doctor came around and helped me out, which was for the best, as I arguing re:not moving her off the train on the basis that she was increasingly disorientated and still fitting. I was very glad when the paramedics finally arrived.
And then... I just went to work? Which was maybe the weirdest part of all?
So that was a day. Feeling a bit odd about the whole thing I went out with Fiona in the evening and got hammered on wine. I am well classy.
Yesterday, hangover finally abating, I came home and we finally booked our flights to India! Richie, Tali, Anwar and I are all going together, and after a lot of worrying we've finally got our acts together and managed to book our flights to India. Fabulous! So now I am officially ready to go to India immediately after Christmas and stay there over new year, and most importantly watch Iona and Shim get married. Yay!
Speaking of, I need to go and relax, because I've got to get up before six tomorrow to get to Leicester for sari shopping. Mentioning this in work was a mistake because a large gaggle of women are now telling me wildly conflicting information and threatening to take me en masse to Wembley to buy jewellery. Gosh.
