I genuinely dislike English again. It was fun when we did writing, but now it's pedantic and picky. I'll stick with it next year purely because the history of language looks like something I'll have history fangirl squealings over, but I'm dreading my exams in it this year. However, such is life.
After English though, today wasn't too bad. It's remarkably warm, of the type that I like - a nice warm. Cool breeze, warm sun, yet not so hot that I go that horrible red colour and sweat like a stuck pig. No, today makes me want to sit outside with a radio and read a book and not do anything. I partially got my wish, I suppose -
flickerswitch ate outside whilst discussing Labyrinth, David Bowie's crotch (I blame
rum_tum_tum for this) and body hair. Then it was an incomprehensible French film over actual lunch time. For a start, there were only four of us watching it. I suggest we have a mutiny and try and finish of Point Break tomorrow, if only for the gay porn subtext erm... semi-naked actresses I mean the wonderful mis-en-scene.
Politics was a laugh again this afternoon. We were supposed to be discussing various bits and bobs about exam technique and stuff, but we ended up having one of our famed class debates. Twas marvellous - I love politics when Elaine's evidently gone insane again and we spend the whole thing listening to her somewhat mad posturing on, among other things, corsets, fundamental states, Tony Benn and George Bush. I was also mercilessly mocked because I had given up swearing and couldn't swear about George Bush.
"No, Elaine, don't get her started! It'll be like opening Pandora's Box!"
"Colleen! Be strong! Just call him a cucking funt instead!"
Love my class. Have decided that I don't want to leave, but we're all being messed up for next year. How much does that suck?
(Oh, god, that Colin And Edith advert is on again. This one is longer... oh, wow. I need to go and tape these. They're humourous.)
And tonight, I plan to go out a-wandering again. The weather is perfect, and I have no work to do. Ah. This is when life is good and content. Spring is here indeed.
