Today, I remembered that I was going to a convention in less than a month. For some reason best known to myself, I twigged this about five lines into DDJ.
So, off I toddled to the site to check availibility. Not ONE hotel is left in the main three offered. Cue panic. So, I started frantically searching.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
loneraven chose then to log on, and my mother chose that moment to come home. Poor souls.
So, I continued looking. And on. And on.
Long story short, we booked a hotel. One room, two beds in the Extress By Holiday Milton Keynes. Straws will be pulled, as there will be up to four of us, depending on how muchshipperkitten wavers. We couldn't get a room for three nights, so we're going on Friday night and returning on Sunday night. There will be sneaking and two bags between us. I'm sorry we couldn't wait for you; but with the state of trying to find a hotel, this was quite literally the best we could do.
And for £19.50 each, who's complaining?
I don't think I can cope with the horror of the train system yet, though. Frankly enough, it was weird enough hotel browsing. Had to borrow mum's credit card for booking and everything - gits didn't take the solo card.
I should email Clemily (aspurplerainbow names them; it's appropriate) really. They're halfway up Snowdonia (?!) so I guess they're not reading this.
So why on earth am I telling you this? Ah yes; because it's holidays. Spammage away!
