Apr. 20th, 2004 12:05 pmLast night was a weird night. I came home and did not do anything resembling work. I sat in front of the telly, feeling tremendously bored but completely incapacitated to do anything. Really, really spaced out and just... weird. This, I think, can be blamed on 4 and half hours sleep finally hitting me at about, ironically, 4pm.
It had some upsides. Winter is the warmest time of the year. No, really. Think about it! At what other time of year can you curl up in a quilt by the fire with a cup of tea and eat chocolate whilst reading LOTR? At summer it's just hot and sticky and uncomfortable. That's why I like winter. I can be hot out of choice, dammit!
I seemed to revive over tea, and off I went to Rangers. I managed to get in a loud and noisy political debate over the image of Guiding. Well, it's true. It's seen as white, middle-class Christian organisation, and that's.... such crap. It shouldn't be like that anymore. So I got into a bit of a thing about it changing. Turns out that Lizzie is on the opposite end of the political spectrum to me. Except she's really, shockingly, uninformed. I realise I was like that a year or so ago, but honestly. She also shared this wonderfully Ormskirkian slight racism that's going on. It's a weird little puddle of the world with very, very little in the way of any form of cultural diversity. That sucks and also leaves a lot of people with this weird view on things, influenced utterly and entirely by the Daily Mail.
Bah.
And that is all I have to say, now. I'm knackered, I will be spending my lunchtime heckling some bloke from the Green Party at the request of the politics teacher. I now have to go to history.
And one last thing! Simon is on LJ! He of the Spork Of Thor conversation!
hammer_strike should be added at once.
That really is all.
