Jun. 17th, 2004 03:24 pmAm in college. FInd self not minding this. I've been here all day, so far, and done buggar all. To be precise, I woke up, came to college and pissed around with Lucy and Jess for three hours in the morning. This involved a trip of Orrell and a joint trip to the bakery, the chippy and the Co-op.
This was fun, if both fattening and somewhat indigestion inducing. As such, we have decided to do it again in the three hour mammoth time off.
So, I'm actually in a history lesson. I'm absolutely loving learning new history, and I have a whole year of it! Wheee! He's told us to basically sod off for a while, and should Charles II play a part in this, then so much the better. I have BBC history on the other window. However, he was talking about the Witch-craze earlier. Did I mention I was reading Quidditch Through The Ages and Witches Abroad over the last few days?
"Well, they were seen to be riding broom-sticks..."
"Don't be stupid, that would be really uncomfortable! Splinters and aching!"
"Eh?"
"I'm the only one that's read that book, aren't I?"
I was, however, pleasently surprised by Dave then proceeding to hold a discussion of Pterry. I felt well chuffed. I like Dave, despite his abiding nickname of Pervy Dave and lack of teaching us the Barebones Parliament. He reads Phillip Pullman and Pterry, and, y'know, is a history teacher.
Finally... without meaning to revert to populism, look what's been happening in Big Brother!
