hathycolOkay, so thirty seconds of investigation and discovered that Richie was in fact dressed as the robot. To be precise, a Raston Warrior Robot from The Five Doctors, or as a non-Whovian who is there and texted Jo last night, 'a silver gimpsuit that he was quite good at hiding in'. I have no idea what it happening but I'm pleased they're all having a good time. Plus the pictures of bruises on facebook are amusing me.
I got absolutely hammered on wine last night, which I'm not particularly proud of, especially because I have an epic headache right now. That said, it was nice to have Jo around last night. We haven't seen each other for months, mostly because I'm basically rubbish at friendship and terrible at maintaining contact; it's not that I don't like people or don't care, it's just more that because I don't need the constant contact I sort of assume everyone else doesn't. Anyway. I cooked, we drank copiously and ended up going to the garage at the end of the road for more wine which was in retrospect a properly terrible idea. We sat around and talked nonsense for HOURS and HOURS about feminism and politics. We were possibly very erudite, but I doubt it.
Anyway. Today I have finished the washing up from last night, dropped Jo off at home, and had a roast dinner at my parents as they think I am pining or something. I am not pining, I am hungover, and they are v. different.
I am now back on my own in the flat and have hours stretching ahead of me in which I am going to re-read Discworld novels and wish I had the money to buy the new book, but what with needing to insure the car and the ongoing niggle that is my eyesight means that my non-existent spare cash is going to that instead. Alas. But then at least I can watch the Strictly results show! Yay!
