I found a costume!

After caving in and abusively texting Jess to pick me up some fairy wings, she went one better for me. I had my Teh Gawth gear (alas, no black lipstick; I used to have some from when I Was Going Through A Phase and now I'm upset as it is lost) packed up and I was all ready to don my fairy wings as soon as I got into college.

But oh no, Jess went one better. I love Jess. Let's make that known. I while ago, I lent her my Something Corporate CD. On the bus, she presented me with a princess hat.

"You can be a punk rock princess!"

Hugged her. Wish I didn't, as she's highly contagious with... something, god knows what, she caught it off Phil (Do Not Ask) but ohmygod it was cool. It was pink, it has flowly pink bits and clashed wonderfully with my entirely black ensemble. I painted my nails black whilst hiding from the librarian and everything. So off I went to history in my hat, and sat next to Helen The Pirate. She kept on trying to pillage me, so I kept on calling her a scoundrel.

This sounds really rather silly in retrospect, but it was so much fun. It's half term! Freedom!

Sidg was in as well; that was so fabulous to see her against, despite the fact I probably terrified her with my generic bounciness, excessive glitter and big pink hat. Jess, as a fairy, lent me her big pink tutu skirt and pink gloves and I went to history like that. Words cannot describe how freakish cool I thought I looked, although when we dressed up Dave in the outfit he looked much better.

This is what your taxes are paying for. So you know.

I was then supposed to drive home, with Jess in the back. Dad decided this was a bad idea, so he drove. I did get to drive home from Jess's, though. Hurrah etc. Tomorrow I have to drive to work for the monster shift from hell; nine hours! Eek.

I was also supposed to go out and get quite sloshed in Liverpool before doing my Patented Mirable Sobering Up (honestly. Give me half an hour in a cool room with a non-alcoholic drink and you can actually see my vision focus again) on the train home, but I am being dragged out with El Parento. I am not amused and have had an argument with them. I have now gritted my teeth and put up with it, and luckily it seems as though the night out is cancelled anyway. I have no credit left on my phone.

I have no money. This bites.

So, good day all told (pictures along as soon as possible) and then slightly buggared up by the ending.

Nine hours at work tomorrow. That's five hours more than I'm contracted to do. But yay it is half term and I can sit in front of the telly ALL DAY tomorrow when I get back for Stargate, Atlantis AND Hex in a row. Do feel rather guilty that I'm skiving training AGAIN on Sunday. I thought that it was cancelled, so I went and made morning plans and I think I'm seeing Clare in the evening. Well, buggar.

Despite the moroseness of the end of this post, I spent this morning dancing around college as a punk rock princess. This entirely negates the negative parts of the day. It was very Colleen Show, really.
