Nov. 4th, 2004 09:30 pmToday, I went out. I bought two papers - The Mirror and The Independent - and I sent The Mirror and the front cover of The Independent to the US.
tviokh, have fun.
Well, the press says it all, really. The Mail was a big headline about morals. The Mirror took the piss. The Independent took the "YE ENDE IS NIGH" route. Oh, and the Star laments that Britney Spears is smoking again.
Says it all. Although is is promising to keep taxes low and improve social services. Erm... THESE NEVER GO HAND IN HAND. Oh dear...
Anyway, Iskived made an executive decision not to go to college this morning. Actually, I made this decision last night. I didn't see morning tdoay - was clunked out by about 11.30 last night and woke up bang on midday. Well, there was my day gone. Also, there was my chance to phone in sick at college so let's hope no one checks the records. *coughs* I realise it's thoroughly irresponsible, but then, I'm going out and getting pissed on Friday, Saturday am at work and Sunday I am at training. Next weekend involves a church parade amongst other things, so sleeping is going to be in short supply. So, nyeh. I missed media. I'll survive.
After I woke up and showered, I went out with Dad, driving. It wasn't too bad, but everytime I made a mistake I get flustered and then I make more mistakes. Ron Weasley Syndrome, I think. Also went out to get petrol with him (clutch control, whee!) and got a copy of the newspaper, as mentioned earlier. Came home. Did my homework - English. I don't think I've done it all, but she's given us something we did last year and I really don't fancy doing it again.
Then I wandered around a bit. Went to Ormskirk, posted aforementioned newspapers, and came home. The bright side was getting to watch Battlestar Galactica. God, I love that show. It's clever, it makes the people be varied and interesting and the theme music is really rather good. Hee. Loff it. I wanted to watch Hex, but Mum wanted Holiday Showdown so I'm going to watch everything in one sitting this weekend. Funfunfun.
Back to college tomorrow. Never mind. Full day. Also never mind. I'm sure it'll do me good and all that crap.
