hathycol20 years ago... I actually wasn't born. Not far off the date where I will be able to say that "Twenty years go, I was born." God, I'm old.
15 years ago... I was having fun in the hellhole of a nursery. Mum wouldn't believe me when I would tell her that they'd lock you in a toilet if you cried. She believes me now. It's my one resounding memory of the place. My Mum was also pregnant with my sister.
10 years ago... I was in junior school, and again feeling rather old. I had the same teacher that my Dad had had in the same school at the same time. I was doing quite well in school though, and I really liked writing stories and reading The Famous Five. I was doing ballet, was in the Brownies and hated swimming lessons. Joanne Campion was my best friend ever.
5 years ago... Gah. Much worse. I was in high school and I hadn't yet discovered sci-fi, although interestingly I was writing a rather appalling novel. I did like Terry Pratchett, though, through my Dad. I went to France on a school trip, and I had no friends. At all. It was one of the worst times in my existence. Then, of course, I found fandom and a bit of confiendence, but that's a later story.
Last year... I got into college, went to college, came out of the closet, met Liz, started with the piercing thing and generally had a rather good time.
So far this year... Sat AS-Levels, passed AS-Levels with four As (ARGHSQUEESTILLEXCITED), started A-Levels (ARGHPANIC), met Brian Blessed, nearly met Miranda Otto, got into Dracula, got together with Clare.
Yesterday... I did three lessons, got my Secret Santa name, ran around a lot panicking and did far too much homework.
Today... See above. I am currently in a media lesson, technically. I have also had a history lesson today.
Tomorrow... Enid and Simon are coming to college! Naked mud wrestling between Enid, Liz and me will occur, as will (possible) training session and four lessons. Oh, and a history test. "Explain why the Popish Plot was so widely believed." But we'll ignore that.
