hathycolI had a rather odd day once I'd finished writing that post. For example, I spent media being sprawled out reading That Was The Satire That Was (David Frost! Naked! ARGH! HE'S REALLY OLD!) before spending half an hour discussing fandom and Spanish films with Greg. He gave me a list of Spanish films and offered to lend me most of them. This is what you get for writing "I have grown to enjoy Spanish films, much to my suprise" in your UCAS form. He then asked about my list of fandom and looked scared when I started to rhapsodise about Battlestar Galactica and Buffy. Poor bloke.
Lunch was spent wittering about Harry Potter. Except I'd spent my free period reading a very good and somewhat kinky twincest fic, so I was unpopular in the ship argument. I don't ship Ron/Hermione. It irritates me and somewhat scares me. I can't see it working. So there I was, taking up the side of Harry/Hermione (bland, but I can actually see it working) and my beloved Remus/Sirius, when Jess said "Oh, but you can't ignore the Weasleys!"
"I'm not," I replied. "The twins are the best ship."
"Yeah, right! With who?"
"Who said I was including anyone else?"
She gagged at me in horror. "You PERVERT!"
"You fancy Rupert Grint! He turned 16 last month! Like you're any better."
"Yes, but they're TWINS!"
I'm quite proud. This conversation was born of the DVD release of PoA. How wonderful.
So, yes. A day of twincest and Spanish films. Untortunately, I have a District Meeting tonight. *facepalm* That promises to be fun. A night of being the youngest by a flat minimum of 10 years. Oh dear. It's probably not a good idea to mention the kinky twincest whilst I'm there.
