Being off college AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SLEEP: Fucking priceless.
I need a hug.
I woke up this morning after a dreadful night in which I couldn't move, sleep or generally swallow without being in blistering agony. Finally, as is my wont, my student instincts kicked in when my alarm went and I blissfully dropped off. um knocked ion the door, I hoarsely rambed about not going in, she left me be.
Then Megan - the wannabe teh kewliez sk8r punk - played Britney fucking Spears. Loudly. And she sang along. All this before 8am.
After resisting the urge to cry, and entertaining some wonderful notions of slamming her head between a door, I made do with stumping out of bed and slamming her door. She got the hint and turned it down, but it was too late. By 9am, I was awake and downstairs, wrapped in a quilt and trying not to cry at the sheer irritation of it all.
I officially don't have mumps, for those who want to know. It's biologically impossible with the immunisation, apparently.
So, I am going to try and be productive, or at least I shall do so when my head has stopped ringing. I'm missing far too much today; I really should have gone in. History timed piece - I'll do that this morning. Media essay - when am I supposed to get my focus group research now? Everything else I shall have to scramble to catch up on.
Oh, god, I've got a driving lesson tonight. I'm going to die.
Possibly being online with monster headache is a bad idea, but I needed to rant at SOMEONE.
