Dec. 17th, 2004 03:20 pmTo extrapoloate on my last, over-excited post, I am going to try and describe my day with a little more style amd panache. I suspect I shall fail.
I woke up this morning absolutely freezing cold and quite possibly dying. I can't believe how awful the weather is at the moment. Yes, I appreciate that it's winter and that it's meant t be cold, but that's not the point. Clouds=dark mornings. I do not like the fact that when I leave the house the streetlights are still on and crossing the road has a new aura of adventure. Also, the fact it was raining resulted in my carrier bag of doom - containing far too many sandwiches and a Yule Log - got soaking wet. Bah.
So, I got onto the bus - still dark - and gave Jess her Chrismtas present. This year, she has recieved a wine glass which can contain a full glass of wine. Yay me! We then sat there in relative quiet until we reached college, and A15, a classroom we could take over all day - English lessons are currently cancelled to mark coursework. So, in went and the room looked LOVELY. Christmas decorations everywhere, tables pushed back and a whole side covering in food and crackers. And a table full of presents. It really was very Christmassy, and I was grateful that I wasn't the first one in, needing to actually put the stuff out.
Politics, my only lesson of the day, was depressing. Test. Bah. Completely buggared it up, but there we are. I can't be good at everything. I spent the next three hours or so eating. And eating. And eating. I wasn't the only one, and heavens know there was enough food, but god, I feel ill now. We all do, really, the amount that's been eaten.
First break, though, was the best bit of the day. Present swapping occured, and I recieved my zombie films and genuinely danced. Cara's presents are just cute, too, and it's all just nice.
We went carol singing at lunch, too, whilst quietly dying of gluttony. We sang O Come All Ye Faithful! Dude, I LOVE that carol!
And now it is the afternoon. I am going to quietly choke in a corner, now. Tonight I have another Christmas party - the Guides one. In which I will continue eating. Oh, god. I also have a drinving, a much more depressing prospect.
