New icon, because totally is what I'm listening to. Right now.

Well, I'm glad I bothered to rise out of bed today. Media cancelled, politics probably cancelled due to resits from the rest of the class (but not by ME! HAHA!) and only history last lesson. This is all made up for by the fact that I have work tonight followed by a meeting for Thinking Day, which I keep on forgetting I agreed to organise. I am doing too much, and before long, my head go 'splode.

Revision. Oh yeah. That. Really not happening at the speed it should. I was in a remarkably good mood yesterday - politics was full of Elaine being obsessed with Shrek 2 and Puss in Boots (there are plans to buy her a poster for snazzy new politics room) and also the fact that Gordon Brown and Human!Shrek are the EXACT SAME PERSON. I mean, even the accent is the same. This led to deliberations that John Prescott is just Shrek, Tony Blair is Lord Farquaad and Tony Benn is probably the Gingerbread man.

Exam ins this subject in about three weeks. We're prepared, people.

I came home to see two envelopes on the stairs, both addressed to me. I genuinely panicked before seeing the words 'Aberdeen' and 'Stirling' and then I sighed. Lots of info from them both, although nothing on housing from Aberdeen. Really, that's what I need, because I need to apply for housing. I can always cancel it if I get the grades and, y'know, offer from St Andrews.

I am rambling on about nothing. In short - my exams are disgustingly soon, I'm not ready and I'm not sure I want to be, and in the pattern of every major exam I've taken since I'm fifteen, I have tumbled into a full-on fandom. I can't help but wonder what my brain will cling onto for the June exams.

Really should revise, really should stop getting overtly worried at the fandom politics, the fact I haven't finished my VV thingie (I. Can't. Write. Eol.) and should really start worrying about aforementioned exams and the fact my history revision is not going the way it should. King Charles has barely stepped on English shores - I still haven't even got to his first Parliament! Dude!

However, I will finish on a happy little ramble. Walked to Rangers yesterday, with Updated!MP3 player, and there I was, all operatic and then all Placebo-esque and then suddenly Franz Ferdinand kicked in. I already love 'Take Me Out' but OH MY GOD THIS SONG IS LIKE CRACK. You all need it in your life. GO AND DOWNLOAD. RIGHT NOW. It is vibrant, it is awake and it is different. The guiters kick in and you can't help buy jump around a bit, sing along and generally smile. They write music 'to make girls dance'. It works. Oh, and Michael? Slashiest Song Ever.

"This is what I am, I am a man, so come and dance with me Michael... sticky hands, sticky hips, all over my sticky lips... Beautiful boys on a beautiful dancefloor, Michael you're dancing like a beautiful dancewhore..."

Selected Greatest Lyrics. Franz Ferdinand, I am converted, thoroughly and utterly. You are slashy and new music and hurrah!

See? Procrastination. Again.
