YE HARDEST POLITICS EXAM OF YE EXISTENCE is over. I wandered in to sit it, sat it, buggared up the first question, flew through the second question rather well, threw in random references to Montesqueieu's 'L'esprit de Lois', the Spartans, Mae Tse-Tsung, Barack Omack (I know of him, can I spell his name? Can I hell) Margeret Thatcher, Hilary Clinton, Paul Boeteng, Charles II, John Pym, the aristocratic families of the French (the Bourbon to be precise), the Law Society, Plato, Aristotle, Lord Falconer, Lord Young and some others I've forgotten.

Oh, and I mentioned the term 'President Bush' once. Up to date examples? Moi?

We'll see how I did in March, I suppose.

In other news, I am wearing my new boots and I'm in a fairly significant amount of pain. Bleeding already at the back and I need to break the leather at the back. Erm, I have two days to do this in.

My exams are over. I feel strangely hollow at this. No jubilation, not yet. I have Guidance next, mainly.

re: breaking boots in quickly:
Water helps. Dampen them. Like, take a paper towel that's dripping wet and blot it around the boots to soften the leather so it can mold to your shape better.

Also, wear two pairs of socks, or alternately, duct tape over the blisters. That means the socks or the duct tape get the friction and skin damage, not the skin.


p.s. Congrats on finishing your exams. (having come late to the blog, I ask a dumb question:) Were they your A-levels, then?

Only finished them until June... my A-Levels are modular whatsits. Oh, the joys of the New System Of Doom.
