hathycolTo those it concerns - hotel room booked for C7, with the slight mishap of forgetting to add the extra bed. I will be phoning tomorrow to rectify this.
Earthsea, by the way, was appalling. The half an hour I watched on it consisted of pained twitches and a loss of faith in humanity. When Thar referred to Tenar as... well... Tenar a little part of me actually died as I belowed at the TV and went off in a huff. Oh, for pete's sake. If you can't do it justice, don't transform a book! *rages*
I knew fandom was going too well. Now I shall settle down with a book instead. And my Easter egg. I can sense a chocolate splurge about to happen...
(And for those who have not yet twigged, I can't go to camp tomorrow. Sorry.)

Date: 2005-03-28 05:50 pm (UTC)I sat there taking the piss for a while but eventually gave up. It was abysmal. I saw the beginning and the village fight scene and was disgusted - completely inaccurate! In teh book Ged sees the warriors before they turn up, and creates a fog which shrouds the village before the invaders get there. Why couldn't they have shown that? How would it have been any less dramatic? There could even have been more blood!
God help me, I have been stunned into using capitals and full sentences.
Oh, but if you didn't see, his shadow didn't look like him, it was some random tacky monster that would have looked more at home in Buffy if the mask weren't so badly made; and it spoke, and for some reason I watched five minutes of them fighting in a boat. The only good point was seeing the shadow coming whooshing up out of the water, which I admired purely from a special effects point of view.
*is upset* oh well. *shurgle* see ya soon hun.
