Jun. 3rd, 2005 08:49 pmToday, I woke up far too late and proceeded to stumble around the house blindly for ages. I actually did some revision today, but I'm not sure if you can actually call revising soap operas revision. Still, it's a start. I am going to borrow from
loneraven here and put down an interesting fact I revised in every post I write. Talking of, she made me the GIP attached to this from Logopolis and a rather silly comment I made halfway through. Sorry all, it'll make sense to no one.
So, we are back to boring and dull posts, everyone. I apologise most terribly, because I went through a brief spate of being interesting. Now it's going to be all exam-guilt and fic stuff. Speaking of, my ficathon story is coming along apace. Now I have discovered that I am writing in 1592 regarding Henry IV of France, I feel much better. I needed context, dammit.
My driving test is in three days. This cannot be a good thing. In fact, this is a bad and scary thing. I do want to be able to drive, but... we'll see if I don't complete run around. Flailing while driving is apparently not the way to go.
I am also revelling in having the use of a working CD burner. I will make the Colleen Show CD when I get bored but now I'm making an album for the As Yet Unpublished Novel that I wrote. One day, I will finish typing it all up, but the damn thing is 400 pages handwrittem and needs a lot of re-writing. I've been meaning to make the accompanying CD for ages, and now I can! *is bouncy*

Soap operas retain their popularity for many reasons. One of these is the complex storylines. Several narratives take place within one epsiode and the narrative is left deliberately open-ended. This adds to the documentary realism of the genre.
