Ladies and gentlemen, voting is officially OPEN on the Mauve And Dangerous Awards, 2005. Voting will close on 25th August, 2005.

To vote, you'll need to give us your name and e-mail address on your ballot paper for security only, as it's one ballot per person. Please encourage everyone you know to vote - these awards are run through fan response alone.

Links are available for every piece on the shortlist if you're unsure of what to vote for - please go ahead and give them a whirl because there are some hidden pieces of genius in there.

Remember, voting is open until 25th August, so that's two weeks to make up your mind. Good luck voting, and congratulations if you made it to the shortlist!

Actually, I pwnez them.

*grins*

A few months ago, [livejournal.com profile] loneraven and I decided that gosh, the new Doctor Who fandom needed a fanfiction/fanart/etc award ceremony. We came up with the title because of the beginning of the scariest episode yet

("There's a capsule out there makred mauve! It's incredibly dangerous!"

"Doesn't red mean danger?"

"Nah, that's just you humans. The rest of the universe thinks that red's just camp.")

and because the acronym was MAD. Anyway, we got lj usr=amchau> on board as well as [livejournal.com profile] taraljc and we made a website and bullied encouraged people to nominate. They did. And I got a nomination! SO ALL SHOULD VOTE FOR ME. Actually, everyone should vote because I was the one that sat and possibly destroyed my eyesight by reading all the stories to check they fitted, and some of them are bloody brilliant.

However, in my position as Wordybod I also do all the advertising. Some people are blinking at their flist going "... why has this notice popped up four time?" right now. As long as they vote, I am unrepetent.

Very cool! I haven't seen the new Dr. Who, but I dig the classic one. Thanks for the info. Will wander over and take a peek. :)

("MAD" ... brilliant!)
