hathycolDammit, I had a big long post and LJ ate it. RAGE I TELL YOU.
In short terms, I went out on Saturday night to Julia's and got a leetle bit drunk but not very, and even sensibly went to bed at 3am after watching Constantine and Once Upon A Time In Mexico. I was flad of this sleep when I woke up as I had to do the driving to training, and by god the car is heavy when it's full of five people and three heavy swords.
Gah.
Anyway. Training was bog-standard until I phoned the police and the fire brigade. I didn't just do this for the hell of it, can I quickly point out. There were a group of teenage scallies on the field - that's normal, we're used to it - but they set ther mini-bike on fire. On fire. Mini-bikes are operated with petrol. They then threw what looked like WKD and foam on it, and then they pissed on it.
Yeah. That was the point I Took Charge and did the appropriate phoning around, and spoke to the police when they turned up and everything. After that, I felt a little faint and went to get a sandwich. Subway, what can't you save? Etc.
Anyway. Went back to training and eventualy went home. Except I went to the pub between this. So I actually got in at about midnight.
Oh, god. Still, it made complete and utter sense at the time and I actually had a rather unexpected but not unpleasent evening. That phrase - unexpected but not unpleasent - has been stuck in my head all morning, and I can't work out why. It's so annoying when that happens. *le sigh* Now I have hopefully gotten rid of it by typing it. Probably not.
Anyway. This morning absolutely sucked because starting off a day with your mother trying to very awkwardly talk to you while you're standing in a towel, dripping wet and hungover, I really can't be bothered having a discussion, especially given that it's one I'd rather never have, thank you very much. I think I might go out again just to avoid her presence.
Got a card and a box of chocolates from work to say well done for my results. Today was actually a rather good day at work, as I wasn't bored, given that I had two days worth of stuff to do. Says it all.I also got a letter from college, the usual yearly update thing that they wend to every student (or ex-student, it seems.) I am normally never in such publications except as part of a group photo. However, there I am, in all my glory, peering at my camera with my lip slightly up in deep concentration and my name is even attached to this photo. Gah! Nothing from St Andrews, which is sad, because I refuse to go shopping until I hear something from them.
Anyway. I have stuff to do and should probably do it. Also need to clean out interior of car with some urgency.
