Nov. 4th, 2005 09:10 pmI am at home.
I do not especially want to be here.
I was looking forward to it, actually. I was grinning to myself on the motorway "OHMYGODIAMINLANCASHIREBABY!" type of thing, but now I'm here and the place id dreary. Nothing has changed (except my mother is much thinner and it BRINGS ME PAIN argh Fresher's Bulge WILL EAT ME) and all I want to do is run away to Cambridge tomorrow.
I still dislike my sister. This does not surprise me in the least. I did get an unholy glee looking through her college prospectuses and seeing, amongst other things, a very startled
me_and and
zeta_of_s peering off the maths page of the KGV one. *pets*
So, yes. I'm home. It smells the same EXCEPT FOR MY DAMNED ROOM. My sister has stolen my CD player (that's coming back to Gatty with me) and my mum has tidied it and ugh that's just so wrong on so very many levels. I feel like a stranger is what should be my own bedroom. But then, I am legally now a Scottish resident (the majority of the year I pay rent to be there! I'm just, um, not) so... makes sense, I think?
I'm now investigating if I can leave earlier without entirely insulting my mother on every level humanly possible. I could actually get there an hour earlier with less changes if I went at 9.35am. However, I think there are some things you Just Have To Do. Ugh. *facepalm*
Right. Off to pack for the second time as my uni bag is not safe for the trains as it is slightly bigger than I am. Toodle-pip and stuff like that. Off to Cambridge. Which will be much more fun.
Although less food.
