Mum remains in hospital, although is now out of the corridor and in a bed. Today I bought her my last remaining clean pair of Magic Earplugs so hopefully she'll be able to sleep.

She was in less pain today, although is currently enjoying some IV antibiotics for her infected gallbadder, which needs to come out rather urgently, apparently. Depends on what you mean by 'urgent', of course. She's having an endoscopy tomorrow to check if there's 'anything else' going on and they'll see where they go from there, so she's in for at least another two days. We are all meant to be going to my Grandad's retirement party weekend next Friday. This could be interesting.

I am very very tired. Spent all day doing interviews, or at least the bit of interviews I do which is make sure they turn up on time, smile, and then see how they interact with other staff. This is all in-between telling lies to customers re: salt availability, which is just increasingly awful. Went to parent's house, ate Aldi soup, went to hospital, went back to parent's house (to save on frightening petrol and parking bills Dad and I are car-sharing this job) and then drove back to my house in order to do washing up, sort laundry, make lunch for tomorrow, and then I cleaned the bathroom as I cannot cope with a dirty bathroom right now. I am rubbish at this. I have no idea how other people do this on a regular basis. They are heroes.

I have to get up early to hit up the post office and the bank on Saturday but man I AM GOING TO SLEEP ON SUNDAY.

Thanks to everyone for your kind messages. I'm writing all this down as it's cathartic, I know it isn't much fun to read. I'm sorry I haven't replied to anyone. I will soon. I promise.
