say i'm the only bee in your bonnet
Jan. 12th, 2006 08:15 pmYou need these two songs in your life. Even if you dislike Doctor Who, or genuinely do say 'but... Doctor Who?' Also, you need to listen to them in this order.
Firstly, a song which gets many an airing at conventions. There is a dance. I used it for my media studies coursework. I shamelessly love it. If you've heard it, you will too.
The Timelords - Doctorin' The TARDIS
With that in mind, now go for this. Okay, yes, it's mixed with Green Day's holiday, but I never ever recommend music here because I'm a lazy tramp. I like these so much I'm passing them on - there is a reason for this.
Dean Grey - Doctor Who On Holiday
I am a shameless fangirl and I like having fannish people in the house. That is all.
Okay, okay, revision.

*cries laughing at the awesomeness of the first song*
That. Is. Amazing. I love it.
Not so much love for the Greenday'd version, though. But that's just cos I don't like Greenday.
*listens on loop for the rest of time*

Date: 2006-01-12 08:46 pm (UTC)SO AWESOME with the dance. Which I cannot describe without using very complex dancing terms that mean nothing to anyone else. Alas.

Date: 2006-01-12 09:27 pm (UTC)They've played it at every organised convention party I ever went to. Stand in a line and sort of move a bit like everyone else does and turn on the complex bit.
I don't know how to describe it ther than "step across step behind step OUT x 4 but on the last one slap foot behind leg with hand, step hit other thigh with other hand, step and clap under lifted leg and turn on that last movement."
That makes total sense to me, except I did dancing for ten years and I can ramble on like with comparitive ease, and someone can do it to me and mean the same thing.
Would post a video. Had I a way of making a video.

Date: 2006-01-12 10:11 pm (UTC)There is a DANCE!
It's only good if you're mildly obsessed by Who. I will admit this.
