So, I'm a little bit stressed about the whole 'need to write three essays in ARGH SHIT SIX DAYS' thing, but I'm not as bad as I could be.

My gobbet - which I wrote leisurely, over two nights, one for research on t'internet and one for actually writing it up over a period of maybe an hour - got a fifteen and praise for my research. Mwaha. To be fair, it was well-researched with the time I had free. So, the other two are due in on Wednesday, and I'm looking at doing an extract from Diderot's Encyclopedie (we did it in today's tutorial) and also something from the Declaration of Independence. Mostly because I have all the info in my politics folder, which is lying under by bed.

Once again, I win.

So, I've done all the research for the Crusades article. It'll be pants, but there's not a lot I can do about that. Speaking of the Crusades, today we did the kingdom of Jerusalem and I am ashamed to say it was the first bit of the course I knew anything about, because Baldwin IV was in Kingdom of Heaven. I am a bad, bad human. I know this. Please don't hate me. Except for [livejournal.com profile] elfnut who will quite rightly praise my standards. *grins*

Erm, anyway. Tonight I have to edit my Russian essay (oh, what fun) and finish my research for my gobbets. Tomorrow, I write my gobbets. Then I have the weekend to write my essay and a few days for general editing. We'll see if this all actually works, of course; I have the callback for Wyrd Sisters in thirty minutes and I'm unaccountably nervous. Also, I have the first day of work tomorrow, which I am also nervous about. Today I bought a map. Yay.

Speaking of today, in St Andrews Arsey Traditions, it is the Rectorial Drag. I would have liked to have watched, actually. The Drag is basically where the Kate Kennedy Club (male, white, rich, exclusive) drag the Rector around to various places, none of which are the Poor Halls, and let him get known to people. I saw part of it, because the Rector has to arrive in original style. Simon Pepper turned up on a hose, and I saw the horse and was very confused. I would have liked to have gone to the Albany event, actually - it involves meeting him and being pissed in the Union which is always fun - but I had a tutorial and a lecture so could not. Busy, busy.

Tomorrow is the Installation. I do not have tickets and once again can't be arsed. There's a new Rector every three years, so it's okay, I can go in fourth year. When I don't have three pieces of coursework to do.

Right. I will get back to frantically reading about the Encyclopedie in one window and the play of Wyrd Sisters in the other. I hope they tell me what they're looking for in terms of character, because I have no idea what I want to re-audition as. I just want a role, dammit.
