Mar. 10th, 2006 02:29 pmSo, today isn't going as planned.
I wanted to get up at ten. I woke up at 9.25am with Katie hitting my door in a faintly pathetic manner, asking me to phone the health center, or call a priest, or alternatively just get her some juice and help her please. One look at her and I espied stomach flu.
Ohnonononono.
Let that not be happening, please.
That's hideously contagious, we live in a very close environment and I have to go to work tonight. God, let her not be contagious. She is very ill, poor thing (I look in every hour in case she needs something) but I really don't want her to be contagious. I don't fancy phoning in sick to work on my first day because it's not like I get sick pay, but I don't want to be working around a kitchen when I'm throwing up at the smell of food.
*flails*
Why else has today sucked? Well, I got up again at midday, had a leisurely lunch and leisurely shower, watched the news AND THEN REALISED MY ESSAY WAS NOT PRINTED AND WAS DUE IN FOR 1PM.
Actual flailing as I updated my printer credits, ran to the computer room, ran to my car, found parking by a small miracle (WHY ON RECTORIAL INSTALLATION DAY, WHY GOD?) and ran around St Salvator's Quad, which appears to mysteriously shift the upper floors every time I go there and got my essay in an hour late. Either a lot of people put it in slightly late or he hasn't picked them up yet. THANK GOD.
So, one essay out of the way and I have to write a gobbet today and hope a lot that I don't start throwing up all over the place. Argh.
