Mar. 15th, 2006 09:42 pmMum just phoned me to apologise.
COLLEEN FOR THE WIN.
So, life right now is good. Essays? Are done. I have heaps of tutorial reading that I am wantonly ignoring and will not doubt pay for tomorrow, but honestly, I have better things to do.
The heating is fixed! After freezing to death under my quilt, I reasoned that the only heat supply left in the house came from the oven. As such, I turned the oven up to full and sat in the kitchen, gently defrosting and being joined by Kim and Katie. We ended up watching LOTR in there as it was the only warnm room in the house and there was a vague wartime feeling to it. Very odd.
But the heating is fixed! And I made apple crumble, and it was tasty and delicious. Tomorrow is going to be a long and hard day - I leave at 9.30am, I arrive home at 6.00pm due to Wyrd Sister rehearsels but OMG I get to play the BEST PART EVER but I'm not going to spoil it in case any of you come and SUPPORT ME IN MY TIME OF NEED. (22nd-24th October, Venue 1, Students Union, St Andrews.) So that is okay too. And I am feeling increasingly ill and cold-ridden (stuffy nose, sore joints and my eyes hurt which translates to a cold for me) but the heating is working.
Okay, okay. I should go and do my tutorial reading. But life? Is okay right now.

Date: 2006-03-15 11:37 pm (UTC)I'm glad things are going well. Things are also good here, apart from the whole AAARGH I HAVE NO MONEY but it's literally just occurred to me (well about eight hours ago) that I could dip into my savings a bit - it's less than a hundred quid I need, I'll be paid four times that much by official work and at least three times that much by unofficial work and hopefully many many times that much for having been reversed into before the end of the month. So it's not so bad, honestly. I just need to cycle into town clutching my unused-in-threeish-years bank book. Woot.
(and yes the cycling is necessary. it's that bad.)
I'm a happy bunny today :) I applied for a job in Sutton, near my boyfriend's house, so I may be moving in proper fairly soon. I've decided I don't like my piano teacher anyway and may well start looking for another - this still doesn't solve the problem of Ste's house not having a piano, but I may be able to find someone who teaches in a public location or at their home. Which would be good. Heck, if the money comes in for both of us we could buy a lecky piano. I have a driving test in a couple of weeks, so if I pass that's one less lesson to come home for and a better way of getting round. I'll still have to see my singing teacher in Haresfinch (near work) but it'll be fine, if I can drive...
Hope you stay well sweetie and I really will make the effort to come and see you soon.
